The Saltair Community Society is proud to support local youth in their educational journeys. This year, bursaries were awarded to two well deserving Saltair students.
On Friday evening at the Chemainus Secondary School graduation ceremony, Gaige Mah was presented with his bursary. This morning, Sarina Stirling received hers during the Ladysmith Secondary School graduation.
Congratulations, Gaige and Sarina!
We wish you both all the best in your continuing studies and future endeavors.

We gather once a week, every Tuesday at the Saltair Community Centre, 3850 South Oyster School Rd, in Room 19, every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Please bring your own sewing machine, embroidering, knitting, beading, crocheting or crafting items.
The first time is free and subsequent visits are $7.00, which goes toward the rent we pay.
New members are always welcome. Our group provides inspiration, encouragement, helpful advice, and socialization.
Please drive along the lane at the right side of the building to the very rear parking lot of the center. Park in available stalls and enter through the blue doors. Disabled parking is marked. See photo below.
If you are interested in inviting more artistic play into your life, want to learn more about drawing and painting, or you’re a lonely artist who would enjoy meeting other like minded people for support and motivation, come join the Chemainus Art Group!
We are a group, varied in ability and interest, but with the common goal to support each other in our artistic community.
We meet in person every 2nd Wednesday and 4th Wednesday of each month. Our Meet Ups include demonstrations from guest artists, presentations from members, discussions and feedback about member’s work, and much more.
